There is a rapidly emerging global movement that seeks to knit personal, political, physical, cultural and structural approaches to sustainability together. The movement draws on many fields and traditions, but is integral in nature - that is, synthesizing and recognising evolution as life finding its expression in ever-greater wholes. There are many practical implications of integral theory. In particular, a key message is to revel in the paradox that everything is getting better whilst everything is getting worse, as well as practicing humility that any one perspective has its limits... Central to the integral approach is awareness of the importance of soul and spirit, and of the role of transformations in consciousness that may allow us to more awarely meet the complex challenges and opportunities of the moment.
