Prologue

Nick and Tara in Ireland, July 1999 (when the parents met...)

... six months later ....

Pat and Tara arriving in the chapel ... 30 minutes late (after an extensive photo session at 6 Alva Place)

Father Tony Axe held his calm magnificantly as Nick arrived with a drum, Tara arrived (a little late), and a reading or two went not quite as planned ....

Here's the first one, anyway:

"When I speak of love I am not speaking of some sentimental or weak response. I am speaking of that force which all of the great religions have seen as the supreme unifying principle of life. Love is somehow the key that unlocks the door which leads to ultimate reality.

Love is the most durable power in the world. This creative force, so beautifully exemplified in the life of our Christ, is the most potent instrument available in humankind's quest for peace and security"

- Martin Luther King
